These boys love animals, this of course was not forced upon them by thier animal loving mother who keeps buying them pets to look after... Anyway, today in Kew Gardens Oscar decided that since Steve Irwin has died there is a bit of a gap in the market for crazy animal loving TV presenters. So he was getting close to the peacocks in the garden today, calling himself Oscar Irwin...

SLIPPING & SLIDING

One day in Switzerland we all took the train up to a ski resort and walked 4 hours back to the lovely village. It was the highlight for the kids, slip sliding down the mountain, dramatic views, lots of laughs...until the end where it was all occuring like just a bit too far to drag these kiddies...

Celebrating the coming of Light

Christmas...time to celebrate the winter solstice, getting together with family, feasting, bringing a tree into the home, decorating with Holly and Ivy, lots of candles, getting cozy, slowing down, watching movies, going for long walks, sleeping, talking, making plans and of course exchanging gifts. This year we had a family feast at our home on the 22nd where we exchanged gifts. Then on the Sunday 24th we flew to Switzerland to see my cousin and his family in a teeny village in the hills over looking Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. We had a wonderful time, very very chilled. The boys had a great time playing with their cousins. It was such a brilliant way to celebrate Christmas - we were forced to slow right down and really enjoy the holiday and being together.
